First off, this Adapter at the least does make the music sound inferior or bring undesirable changes to sound.
It functions as desired & one of the few brands & audio equipment that is a bit more rationally- reasonably priced. Built quality has no complaints.

I have a pair of Hifiman Sundaras and I run them balanced (4.4mm) to my ifi zen dac v2 amp/dac. But when I need to run it off my phone or my portable dac which has only 3.5mm input then this adapter becomes very helpful to me. It's highly recommended if you need it. Its a good adapter.

Using this cable with Chord Mojo as it has only 3.5mm outs. This adapter works well with the earaudio balanced cable which I am using for the Hifiman headphones.
I have many cables in 4.4 and need to use it on some dongles with only 3.5mm. This adapter comes in handy without changing cable.

The AUDIOCULAR SPARK Hi-Res Portable DAC Dongle with CX31993 DAC and MAX Amp is a very impressive option for anyone looking to take their mobile audio experience to the next level. Despite its small and portable form factor, it delivers a significant improvement in sound quality compared with the standard audio output found on many smartphones, laptops, and other devices.
The first thing I noticed was the overall improvement in clarity and detail. Music sounds cleaner and more open, with better separation between vocals and instruments. Vocals have a good amount of presence and sound natural, while instruments are easier to distinguish, especially when listening to well-recorded tracks. The bass has good punch and control without overpowering the mids, and the treble provides a nice level of detail without becoming excessively sharp.

I’ve been using the AUDIOCULAR D07 CX31993 USB DAC & Amp for a while, and overall I’m quite impressed with what it offers for its size and price. The biggest advantage is its compact and slim design, which makes it very convenient to carry around and use with a laptop, PC, or compatible smartphone.
In terms of sound quality, the D07 provides a noticeable improvement over the built-in audio output of many laptops and phones. The sound feels cleaner and more detailed, with better clarity and separation between instruments. Vocals sound more natural, and there is a good amount of punch and control in the bass without making the overall sound too boomy. Really happy with the Salnotes Zero 2. Sound is clear and bass is good without being too much. Vocals sound nice and the earphones are comfortable even after using them for a few hours. Build quality is also decent for the price. Overall, good IEM and worth the money
